History

My Baby Shower Favors was founded in late 2004 by Brian Lang. After two years of selling merchandise on Ebay, Mr. Lang started studying search engine optimization and looking for opportunities for creating an online store. Upon studying the wedding favors niche, he noticed that the baby shower favors niche had potential. There were other baby shower stores at the time, but it seemed like their selection was limited.

My Baby Shower Favors was created on a Yahoo store and after some aggressive SEO work, the first sale came in within the second month of the site's launch. The business was originally run from a one bedroom apartment, but after a few years, the merchandise was moved to a warehouse, order management systems were implemented, and various site improvements were made.
