Note the Details with Baby Shower Bottled Water

December 13th, 2010

There’s nothing quite as important nowadays for a mommy-to-be than a baby shower. In fact, these are the celebrations that make memories. It’s a good reason to look for a favor that would be something that would be a conversation starter.

A baby shower favor like this would be a personalized bottled water. You could find a bottle of water that doesn’t need to be decorated at all, but it is as expensive as it looks. However, designer water isn’t a necessity as a favor; just make sure the water that you give out is either spring or mineral water that has a good taste. All you need to do then would be to decorate the bottle.

These bottles can be decorated in a way that will complement your baby shower theme. These can be customized to order or printed at home. Anything that you like can be put on the labels, from pictures or clipart, the names, details of the party, and colors of your choice. When you send a design in a high quality .jpg format, any printer can make it for you. It’s really something that can get all your guests talking, especially about the details that you took the trouble over.

The labels that you choose have to be waterproof and colorfast to stand up to any moisture. Think of waterproof décor too, so they can take getting dunked in ice water or being left on ice. It will also stay true when the water is refrigerated or chilled.

The most maneuverable size is the 8-ounce bottle. These are the sizes that are ordered most often and come in cases of two dozen per box, so more pieces per order are accomplished easily. You’ll probably need to order two bottles per person for a two hour celebration.

You can also relabel seltzer or another kind of flavored, carbonated water. On hot days, why not offer a choice of sports drinks? Fruit juices would be a good choice, too.

Make your presentation as good as the decorations you put on the bottled water. A simple thing to do is to put a bottle at each place, maybe with the addition of a ribbon tie to make it even prettier. When flowers are added, it can stand in for an individual floral arrangement. Why not add a resin figurine on the bottle cap so it looks more like a bubble solution? Why not wrap the bottle in a transparent cloth scarf and tie it up like a gift with a pretty ribbon?

A truly casual way to serve the drinks outdoors would be to take half a wooden barrel and fill it with ice. The bottles can be arranged on top so they’re easy to see. Make sure your decorations are waterproof! Ribbons and flowers made of plastic would be perfect – and a fun choice for a picnic or island-themed shower.

Natural looks need natural décor. A small wreath of sturdy lemon leaves make a pretty ring around the bottle. A wooden crate lined with a nubby linen cloth makes a great backdrop for these bottles. With a few strongly scented gardenias, it’s an arrangement that won’t look out of place in a garden tea setting.
